Martin St-Amant is a co-founder of St-Amant & Vien Business Lawyers. He advises businesses of all sizes on all matters relating to business law, international trade law and intellectual property, both nationally and internationally, as well as business immigration.
After earning a Licenciate in Law from the University of Ottawa, a degree in International Studies in Paris, and a doctorate in international commercial law from Université Paris- Sorbonne, St-Amant quickly specialized in this area of law, developing his skills on both sides of the Atlantic. He was part of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) negotiating team and has been a partner in major Canadian law firms.
A member of the Québec Bar and several international law organizations, he is the author of numerous texts, articles, and columns on international law—his speciality—both on economic, and public and private law issues.
As a tax lawyer practicing corporate law, tax law and business and strategic consulting, Marc-Étienne Vien provides sound advice adapted to the reality of each client.
Prior to co-founding St-Amant & Vien Avocats d’affaires, Vien developed broad expertise in business law after practicing at a large law firm. He also worked in Ottawa as a senior advisor to a federal minister. He is characterized by his ability to listen, his thoroughness, his professionalism and his talent for finding innovative solutions to the most complex legal and business issues.
Marc-Étienne was called to the Québec Bar in 2014 after studying law at Université Laval and science and business administration at McGill University. He also holds an advanced graduate diploma in taxation from HEC Montréal.

A young lawyer whose energy is matched only by his diligence, Louis-Philippe St-Amant holds a law degree (2018) and an advanced graduate diploma in business law (2019) from the Université Laval’s Faculty of Law. St-Amant was called to the Québec Bar after successfully completing his articling in a major Canadian law firm.
His experience playing for the Rouge et Or football team instilled into him discipline and a focus on performance and results. He was awarded the Prix Maillet Sportif by Université Laval’s Faculty of Law, in recognition of his involvement in sports and academics.
